MCM Housing has applied for funding through the Victorian Government’s Big Housing Build program to build a small, specialised social housing developments for young people in various locations across Victoria. Throughout the design process, we have sought feedback with the local communities and young people who have experienced homelessness to ensure that these homes match the needs of the residents, the community, and the environment.

The housing complexes are designed to be environmentally sustainable and energy efficient, with brick-veneer exteriors, solar panels, and shared facilities such as a kitchen and laundry. Each apartment has one bedroom and is designed to be modern and comfortable, with amenities such as air-conditioning, high quality kitchen appliances, and high-speed internet access.
To ensure our tenants feel safe and supported at all times, there will also be an on-site MCM office with 24/7 on-site case managers, and the building is fully fenced and set back from the street to create a sense of privacy and security. Additionally, there will be private patio areas which provides a secure, outdoor social space for residents.
Construction of our first development was completed in February 2024.
