It’s important to let us know if anything changes in your household or financial situation so we can review and adjust your rent accordingly. By communicating these changes, you ensure that your rent is fair and reflects your current circumstances.
Changes in financial circumstances can include an increase or decrease in income, a job change, or a change in family size. These changes can have a significant impact on your ability to pay your bills and manage your rent. If your circumstances have changed, we might ask for evidence of your household income to adjust your rent accordingly. Alternatively, you may even be able to transfer to a different community housing property.
It's important to note that your rental rebate will be reviewed once a year or if there are changes in your income or household. This may affect the amount of rent you pay. If any changes occur, we’ll send you a letter informing you of the new cost.
We review the market rent once every year. If there are any changes to the market rent for your home following the review, we’ll send you a letter to inform you. It's important to note that changes in market rent will not necessarily affect the rent based on your income. However, if there is any impact on the amount you need to pay, we will clearly explain it in our communication with you.
