Bronwyn weir

Bronwyn has practiced as a lawyer for over 25 years. After working at a large law firm for 20 years Bronwyn established Weir Legal and Consulting, a small firm that specialises in advising governments acting as regulators. In 2017 she was commissioned by all Australian states and territories and the federal government to advise on systemic issues in the regulation the building and construction industry. This resulted in the Building Confidence Report, which has become central to regulatory reforms in the building and construction industry across the country. She also advises on regulation across a range of other sectors including education, health, water and environmental laws.

In addition to being appointed to advise on various government reviews and evaluations, Bronwyn is also a non-executive director of a software start-up company, Quipex, a Board member of the Internal Building Quality Centre, an industry advisor to the Building 4.0 CRC and an adjunct professor of Western Sydney University. She joined the Board of MCM Housing in May 2022.
